store the fresh chicken in your freezer. While buying iced up chicken

that confuses most of us is for how long we can store a chicken. The
fact is, with raw chicken, uncooked and cut in pieces the
preservation period can easily be around nine months. Whereas,
uncooked whole chickens can easily be stored for at least a year. The
freezing time also varies with the state of the freezer and the way
of packaging. One the other hand, cooked chicken can be stored for a
maximum period of four months. Stews and soups can be preserved upto
three months. Cooked chicken is however better not be stored for too
long as it gets prone to reduced taste and flavor along with getting
contaminated.
